What does the Quality Counts Process look like?
Getting started
If you are a ECE program director or business owner interested in starting your Quality Counts journey or would like to learn more, contact Quality Counts today to schedule an information session. This session is designed to help you understand what participating in Quality Counts will look like.

After learning about Quality Counts, our team will schedule an overview session with your staff. It is recommended that all staff attend this session so they can know what supports and resources will be available to them.
The next step in onboarding new programs is to complete an application and self assessment. The self assessment is an opportunity for you to let Quality Counts staff know about your sites specific strengths and areas for additional support.
Information gathered from the self assessment will allow our staff to create a baseline rating. The baseline rating lets our team know what the sites needs are and allows us to develop resources to support improvement efforts.
Continuing your commitment to quality
Based on information from the baseline rating or certified rating, Quality Counts staff will work with you and your staff to develop a Quality Commitment Plan. The Quality Commitment Plan will include specific, measurable, attainable goals that are meaningful for you. Remember, this is a plan for your site so you get to choose your goals.
After developing a Quality Commitment Plan, you and your site will receive support from Quality Counts to implement your goals. We offer a wide variety of services to help you implement your Quality Commitment Plan including training, coaching, financial incentives, assessments, and more.
Finally, after you and your site have had time to work on your goals, we will provide you with a certified Quality Rating. A Quality Rating is valid for two years and will provide Quality Counts with more information to help you plan for continuing your quality commitment.
Remember that making a commitment to quality is an ongoing process and Quality Counts will be here with you every step of the way. Contact Quality Counts today to learn more about participation.
